Expert Care in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatments

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented therapy that teaches practical coping skills to improve emotional well-being, strengthen resilience, and support healthier decision-making. It can be highly effective for a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, panic attacks, OCD, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, anger management, and behavioral concerns in children and adolescents. CBT can also help individuals develop healthier coping strategies, improve communication, manage overwhelming emotions, and build confidence in navigating daily life.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based, evidence-supported treatment designed to help individuals better manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping strategies. DBT combines acceptance and change-based techniques to help clients build greater emotional balance while learning practical tools for daily life. Treatment often focuses on four core areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT can be helpful for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, mood instability, self-harming behaviors, impulsivity, chronic stress, trauma-related symptoms, relationship conflicts, and difficulties managing overwhelming emotions. It is also commonly used to support adolescents and adults who experience emotional sensitivity, behavioral challenges, or patterns of feeling stuck in cycles of conflict or emotional distress.

Parent Child Interaction Therapy

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an evidence-based treatment designed to strengthen the relationship between parents and young children while improving behavior, communication, and emotional regulation. PCIT involves live coaching sessions in which parents learn practical strategies to build positive interactions, increase cooperation, and respond more effectively to challenging behaviors. This approach is commonly used with children experiencing behavioral difficulties such as tantrums, defiance, aggression, impulsivity, ADHD-related concerns, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and difficulties with listening or following directions. PCIT also helps parents develop confidence, consistency, and effective discipline techniques while creating a more positive and connected parent-child relationship.

Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). ERP works by gradually and systematically exposing individuals to feared thoughts, images, situations, or objects while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsions or avoidance behaviors. Over time, this process reduces the power of obsessions and breaks the cycle that keeps OCD strong, helping individuals build tolerance for uncertainty and discomfort. ERP can be highly effective for a wide range of OCD presentations, including contamination fears, intrusive thoughts, checking and reassurance-seeking behaviors, symmetry and "just right" concerns, and other obsessive-compulsive patterns. Treatment is tailored to each individual's specific fears and goals, with the aim of restoring freedom, flexibility, and confidence in daily life.

Parent Management Training

Parent Management Training (PMT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps parents develop effective strategies to manage challenging behaviors and strengthen positive family interactions. PMT focuses on teaching practical skills such as positive reinforcement, setting clear expectations, improving consistency, and responding calmly and effectively to difficult behaviors. This approach can be especially helpful for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral concerns, oppositional behaviors, ADHD-related challenges, emotional outbursts, aggression, difficulty following rules, and problems at home or school. PMT empowers parents with tools to improve communication, reduce family stress, encourage healthy emotional development, and create a more structured and supportive environment for their child.

Evidenced Based Trauma Therapy

Evidence-Based Trauma Therapy includes specialized treatment approaches designed to help individuals process traumatic experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and regain a sense of safety and control. These therapies are effective for individuals struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and the lasting effects of stressful or traumatic experiences. Approaches may include Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), which focuses on building emotional regulation and relationship skills; Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), which helps individuals identify and challenge unhelpful trauma-related thoughts and beliefs; and Prolonged Exposure (PE), which supports individuals in gradually confronting trauma-related memories and situations in a safe, structured way to reduce fear and avoidance. Treatment is tailored to each individual’s needs with the goal of promoting healing, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.
