Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person therapy sessions?

At this time, all therapy services are provided exclusively through secure telehealth sessions. Telehealth allows clients to access care from the comfort and privacy of their own home while maintaining flexibility and convenience. Clients must be physically located in a state where their provider is licensed at the time of the session.

Do you accept insurance?

We are currently an out-of-network practice and do not directly bill insurance companies. Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, we can provide a superbill or documentation that clients may submit to their insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your individual insurance plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance company directly to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

What is the cost of each session?

Sessions are $300 for 45 minutes or $375 for a full hour. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available.

How long does therapy last?

The length of treatment varies based on each individual’s needs, goals, and circumstances. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific concern, while others choose longer-term support for ongoing growth and healing. During the initial intake session, we will discuss your concerns, begin identifying treatment goals, and collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

What can I expect during the initial intake session?

The initial session is an opportunity to discuss your current concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. Your therapist will gather information to better understand your needs and determine the most appropriate treatment approach. You will also have time to ask questions and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy.

Is telehealth therapy effective?

Research has shown that telehealth therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns. Virtual sessions provide a confidential, accessible, and flexible way to receive support while maintaining continuity of care.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule; late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee. Your appointment time is reserved just for you, which is why this policy is firm. Just as importantly, consistent attendance is one of the strongest predictors of progress in therapy. Each session builds on the last, so we encourage you to treat your session time as a standing commitment to yourself.
